Submission Guidelines for PLYMHACK 2025

Your hard work and creativity deserve the spotlight! Follow these guidelines to submit your project and showcase your PLYMHACK experience:

What to Submit:

1. GitHub Repository

Provide a link to your GitHub repository, which should include:

  • All project files and code
  • A detailed README file that explains:
    • An overview of your project and its purpose
    • Clear instructions on how to run and test your project
    • Any additional documentation to support your submission

2. Video Submission (Optional but Encouraged)

This is your chance to not only showcase your project but also reflect on your PLYMHACK journey.

  • Project Highlights: Briefly demonstrate your app, focusing on key features and functionality.
  • Your PLYMHACK Experience: Share your story!
    • What inspired your project?
    • How did your team collaborate and overcome challenges?
    • What was the most exciting or rewarding part of the hackathon for you?
  • Keep the video engaging, concise, and no longer than 3 minutes.

3. Live Presentation

Prepare to present your project live to the judging panel. Your presentation should include:

  • A live demo of your project, showing how it works in real-time.
  • Insights into your development process, such as:
    • Why you chose specific tools or technologies
    • How your project solves a problem or addresses the hackathon theme
  • Reflections on challenges and how you overcame them.
Tips for a Strong Submission:
  • Be Clear and Concise: Make your code, README, and presentation easy to understand.
  • Share Your Creativity: Highlight what makes your project stand out and how you approached the theme in a unique way.
  • Teamwork Shout-Outs: If you worked in a team, mention how you collaborated and divided tasks.

  • Scalability
    How well does the project handle growth? This includes its ability to support an increasing number of users, larger datasets, or expanded use cases without significant degradation in performance or functionality.
  • Usability
    Is the project intuitive and user-friendly? Consider how easy it is for end users to navigate, understand, and interact with the solution, regardless of technical background.

    Does the project demonstrate advanced technical expertise? This could include innovative algorithms, robust architecture, efficient coding practices, or the integration of multiple technologies.
  • Creativity
    How innovative or imaginative is the solution? Judges will look at the originality of the idea, the approach taken to solve the problem, and the overall inventiveness of the implementation.
